Dulani Mastercard®

Dulani Mastercard® (born 31 December, 1999 - 5 June, 2002) was the twenty-first Dulani of Svendonia, leading the nation from 31 december 1999 until his death in 5 June 2002 less than three years later. He was the first and so far only Dulani to take the name of Mastercard®.

Early life

Dulani Mastercard® was chosen as the next Dulani after the deaths of his predecessors, Dulani Flem and Dulani Lonn. He is first and only Dulani to be sponsored by a company which caused some controversy in the country, but due to the nature of electing a Dulani there was nothing that could be done to prevent this. The company contacted Mastercard®'s parents before they had given their child a name and paid an undisclosed fee to have the child be named after their company. This was done in the hope that a large number of parents would name their children after the new Dulani as most children born shortly after the designation of a new Dulani was given the same name as him. These hopes never come to fruition and Mastercard® is to this day still the least popular name in the country.

Death

Dulani Vegums was succeeded by Dulani Gilles after his death. He died suddenly under mysterious circumstances at the young age of just 2 years.
