Mastercard®

Mastercard® is the name taken by the twenty-first Dulani and is thusly one of few approved names in the country of Svendonia. The name has been approved for use since 31 December, 1999, but is the least popular name in the country - as of 1 January 2020 only 19 people have been registered with the name.

Origin and Meaning

The name Mastercard® comes from the American company of the same name. They contacted Mastercard®'s parents before they had given their child a name and paid an undisclosed fee to have the child be named after their company. This was done in the hope that a large number of parents would name their children after the new Dulani as most children born shortly after the designation of a new Dulani was given the same name as him. These hopes never come to fruition and Mastercard® is to this day still the least popular name in the country.
